May 2013 Ipsy Bag

It's Ipsy time!  May's theme is Spring Fling.  The bag's print doesn't really scream "Spring Fling" to me...seems more of a summer kind of design, but whatevs.  It's still a nice design.  Love the colors together!

My bag came with 6 items this month: 5 regular products and 1 bonus product from Urban Decay!  I got the Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Luminizing Body Butter, Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia Roll-On Perfume, Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss in Pink, Zoya Nail Polish in Blu, Yaby Concealer refill in Buff, and Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Intergalactic.  I think this was another great bag!  Ipsy is constantly stepping it up, and I'm happy to be subscribed with them.  I was especially excited to see a full-size Zoya polish in my bag!  And it was a color I'd been wanting!

As with last month, not all bags were the same.  In fact, this month there seems to be more of a variety in products and colors.  This seems to be ipsy's attempt at personalizing subscribers' bags with their ipsyMatch.  The other products included: Anastasia Mini Clear Brow Gel, Pacifica Bronzing Body Butter, Macadamia Hair Healing Oil Treatment, Nume Finishing Serum, Mirabella Finishing Sheers Lipstick, St. Tropez One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion, Mirabella Perfecting Powder, Mirabella Shimmerati Glimmer Gloss, and Mirabella Lip Lustre Liner.  Also, there were different colors for the polishes (from the Lovely collection) and a different scent for the perfume.  Although I'm quite happy with what I got in my bag, I would have loved to have received the Macadamia Hair Healing Oil Treatment.  I have been wanting to try that brand for a while now, but it's quite pricey in my books...so I've been putting it off for another time.  Oh well~ no biggie.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Glossybox USA - October 2012

A little behind with these subscription box/bag posts, but I'm trying to get caught up before my November ones come!  Today I have my Glossybox USA for October.  The theme for this one was "Spa Luxe" and included several items to pamper yourself.

This month, Glossybox had at least 2 different boxes (that I know of).  The only things that were the same were the soap, but in a different scent, and the lipstick/gloss duo.  I was a little bummed when I found out the other box got a blush from Kryolan and my box didn't, but I'm still pretty happy with what I got!  It's stuff I probably wouldn't normally get, so I think these will be more interesting to try.  Overall, I think this is a pretty good box!  I'm especially interested in the loofa soap!  It has a piece of loofa in it and I love citrus scents!  I'll definitely post a review when I use it, and same goes for the other products too. :)

DEAL ALERT!! Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss @ Ulta

I was at Ulta today, cuz I like to go there just for kicks~

lol, not really.  I just wanted to take advantage of their 40% of Physicians Formula sale to get a Happy Booster blush.  (My first!)  While there, I spotted this display for Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss.

All of the lipglosses in this display come with a $2 off coupon that is immediately usable at the register.  Regular price is $7.49.  BUT, Revlon is also 40% at Ulta this week!  That comes out to around $4.49.  With the coupon, you end up paying $2.49 for one lipgloss.  If you didn't get to take advantage of last week's epic Revlon deal at CVS, this is a great alternative.  Of course, it's only on the Colorburst Lipglosses, but still a great deal! (40% off sale ends Saturday, Oct. 1st.)

And you know me, I had to take advantage of this deal, and walked away with one in Papaya.  Another first for me, as I haven't tried the Colorburst Lipglosses yet.  That plus my Happy Booster blush put me at $10, so I got to use the $3.50 off coupon.  That basically made the lipgloss free.  Score!! :D
